Checking Tool Clamp Pressure
It is important to verify that the Clamp Force is sufficient to hold a tool safely.
Testing the spindle in the field or at our spindle shop can be done using a drawbar force check tool, a Dynamometer, to ensure the tool is secure.
(Do not run the spindle if 11 to 14 kilonewtons is not reached.)
The Vector Spindle, which comes on our larger 5-axis machines with HSK63E holders, has a different clamping force.
(Do not run the spindle if 18 to 19.5 kilonewtons is not reached.)
