Syntec to PC connection overview

The Syntec control is linked to a PC as the "front end" or operator interface and acts as a server to the PC. For this reason the control and the PC are linked via a network cable. A KVM is used to share the monitor, keyboard and mouse between the PC and the control. See the diagram. The KVM has a black button located below and behind the monitor to switch the KVM between the PC and the Control. See "KVM Black Button" picture for the location.

When the KVM is displaying the PC the machine and operator communicate through the AGMVP software as normal operation. When the KVM is set to display the Syntec control the Windows Embedded operating system is displayed running on the control. The control will communicate with the PC directly through the CNCMONCE.EXE application to navigate the menus of the Syntec control.
