Key items to understand using Alphacam's Aggregate Macro

To use the Alphacam aggregate Macro a CNC Programmer needs to understand the following key items.

  1. Know how to align the aggregate using the aggregate ring and set pointing direction of the aggregate.

  2. Know pointing and starting direction of the aggregate in with a fixed aggregate situation or C Axis

  3. Manually test the aggregate by hand loading and carefully test the aggregate in the automatic tool changer. (Direction and clearances)

  4. Understand the Alphacam Aggregate Macro and key data that needs to be measured and entered

    a. Gauge length

    b. Tool Length (TL Variable in the Post Processor) and make sure if functions under different machining conditions (Machining, Boring, and Drilling) in G18 and G19 Workplanes.

  5. Understand how a Workplanes are created and number and pointing in the correct direction.

  6. For Angled aggregate understand how to match mechanical set angle with 3D tool path in the correct Workplane and direction.
