Automatic Axis Lubricator
The automatic axis lubricator is the heart and soul of the lubrication system keeping the ways, etc. lubricated so your machine moves free and smooth to maintain cut quality and help provide consistent finishes on your parts. That's just a bonus because maintaining the proper lubrication will add years to the life of your equipment.
The lubricator pumps oil to the manifolds located under the tables, in auxiliary cabinets located around the machine (i.e. the Z axis Aux cabinet), and on either end of the gantry on moving gantry machines. These manifolds distribute lubrication to various components around the machine. Each line (or circuit) will have a metering valve at the manifold to restrict the flow to each circuit. Nylon tubing and brass compression fittings carry the lubricant to each lubrication point, like linear guides and ball nuts for example.
